LOADING RAMP
Loading ramps provide maximum efficiency in areas where there is very intensive entrance and exit and goods shipment.
A standard loading ramp consists of 2 main parts. Of these, the first main platform is the second lip. The standard dimensions of the main platform are 200x250 cm and warehouse height, vehicle width, etc. It can be preferred in different sizes according to the variables. Special production ramps should be preferred for extraordinary vehicle and warehouse heights. Ramp; It consists of a hydraulic pump, valves and two pistons, one big and the other small, that move the platform. The big piston moves the main platform and the small piston moves the lip. The valves control the motion sequences of these pistons. Thanks to this simple but well-designed system, it is possible to control all functions of the ramp with one button. The hydraulic unit is used to completely change the ramp position. It cannot be used for lifting loads other than its own weight.
The static load capacity of a standard loading ramp is 6 tons and its dynamic load capacity is 9 tons. Special types of ramps are designed for loads above this.
In case of power outage, safety valve is used to prevent oil flow by unintentionally lowering the ramp and preventing accidents.
Wheeled transport vehicles such as pallet trucks, forklifts and electric pallet trucks are generally used when loading and unloading works. When loading and unloading with these vehicles, a slope occurs due to the difference between the tank height and the vehicle height. Although this slope is specified in the catalogs for each vehicle, it is 16% for forklifts and 5% for electric pallet trucks. Considering these slope values and vehicle heights, the most suitable ramp height is preferred between 120 and 130 cm. For this reference value, each vehicle with a height between -35 cm, +35 cm and a height between 85 cm and 155 cm can be loaded. If your vehicle heights are in a different range, the ramp dimensions should be decided in the light of this information.
